1915: Breitling creates the idea of the single pushpeice chronograph.

1934: Second independent pusher to chronograph as modern watches are today.
1939: Breitling onboard chronographs which the Royal Air Force uses in World War II fighter planes. The company in following years becomes the official supplier to world wide aviation, in planes such as DC-8.
1952: Breitling launches the world famous Navitimer equipped with a circular slide rule.The Breitling Navitmer is a very collectable iconic watch and is in the current range today with Breitling’s in house B01 movement. Navitimers hold a good price and rise for rare or “mint examples”.
1962: Navitimer Cosmonaute with a 24 hr dial, accompanies Scott Carpenter on his orbital flight of three times round earth.
1984: Breitling launches the Chronomat with the Elite Frecce Tricolori flight team.
1995: The Emergency in born with a distress transmitter.
1996: The Wings automatic watch was introduced.
1999: Non stop balloon flight round the world in the Breitling Orbiter 3.
2009: Breitling designed and produced the in house mechanical chronograph movement- Breitling calibre 01. The first model to encase this piece of fantastic engineering is the Chronomat and is chronometer certified by COSC and all other models including Super Quartz.
