A beautiful Jaeger LeCoultre vintage calibre.

The oversize 9ct gold case with tear drop lugs is in great condition, very rare watch in this condition. New strap fitted with a non signed buckle.
This watch looks great on the wrist with a sharp suit or smart casual wear.

Ref: 10911, S: 942…. circa 1952-55.

Movement: Hand wound Calibre P478 / C, Swiss movement has been checked by our watchmaker and is keeping time, although the watch has not been serviced by us.

Introduced in 1945 and in production until 1965, this calibre is regarded by many as the most accomplished hand wound movement in Jaeger LeCoultre’s past. The same movement was purchased from Jaeger LeCoultre by Vacheron Constantin,  calibre number P1008/BS and fitted it to its “Chronometre Royale” models of the 1950s. “the vintage P478/C numbers among Jaeger Le Coultre’s most beautiful movements”.

Dial: Light champagne with a lovely light aged patina.

Glass: Plastic very good with no marks.

Water Resistance:This vintage watch is not rated with water resistance.
